Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings
What is salt & pepper chicken wings?
It is a classic appetizer commonly found at Chinese restaurants and cafes. These wings are known for their simplicity and bold flavors using simple seasonings such as salt, pepper, and sugar.

Ingredients:
12 wings
1 cup cornstarch? (didn’t really measure here, just enough to coat the wings)
1/2 onion (sliced)
1 jalapeno (sliced)
1 tbsp garlic
vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sugar
Marinade Recipe:
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tbsp shaoxing wine
Directions:
Marinate chicken wings with the marinade listed above for 30 mins
Coat in cornstarch
Fry at 375 for 10 mins and let it rest for 5 mins
Optional- double fry for 2-3 mins
Create salt, pepper, and sugar seasoning with the measurements above and mix it
Sauté jalapeños and onions for 1 min, add garlic and sauté for 1 min
Add chicken wings and sprinkle salt, pepper, and sugar seasoning to your taste buds!
